ONE Results: Jonathan Di Bella Claims Kickboxing Title

Jonathan Di Bella claimed the vacant ONE strawweight kickboxing title at ONE 162 Friday.

Di Bella downed Zhang Peimian in the main event via decision. The event took place from Axiata Arena in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Di Bella came out of the gates firing, putting the pressure on Zhang who retreated toward the Circle Wall. As the undefeated Italian-Canadian star pressed on, “Fighting Rooster” opted to lay back and counter, attacking with a myriad of leg kicks. However, Di Bella blitzed Zhang with quick and powerful punching combinations to keep the Chinese fighter honest.

In the co-main event, Reece McLauren bested Windson Ramos. Constantin Rusu and Gustafo Balait were other winners.
