Patricio Pitbull returns to the cage as Bellator ushers in October with Bellator 286.

Set from the Long Beach Arena in Long Beach, California, the main card airs live on Showtime. Prelims will stream on YouTube and Pluto TV.

In the headline act, Pitbull puts his featherweight title on the line against top contender Adam Borics.

The 35-year-old Pitbull has long been one of the top fighters in Bellator. But now, he is positioning himself on the list of best in the world.

A two-division champion, Pitbull has a total of four title reigns in the promotion. He has held the featherweight and lightweight belt, making seven successful defenses overall.

He was just the second to hold two Bellator titles at the same time, and is the first to have four separate championship reigns.

Back in 2021, he lost the featherweight belt vs. A.J. McKee when he got locked up in a submission. This past April, though, he returned and took back the belt with a decision victory over McKee.

Pitbull never lost the lightweight title after finishing Michael Chandler for it. Instead, he vacated it to continue his run in the featherweight division.

That has seen him continue to pile up wins, sitting at 33-5 overall now.

Borics presents a new challenge, as the 29-year-old has reeled off four consecutive wins. He bested Mads Burnell this past March to claim his shot at the belt, while also owning wins over Jeremy Kennedy, Pat Curran and Aaron Pico.

The card will also feature McKee in action, as he moves to the lightweight division to face Spike Caryle. Pico takes on Kennedy and Juan Archuleta battles Enrique Barzola.
