Sharon Osbourne Piers Morgan TalkTV

One year after being forced out of her job on CBS’s “The Talk” for defending her friend Piers Morgan, Sharon Osbourne has scored a new gig with him across the pond that fans of them both will love.

Morgan And Osbourne’s New Network

Fox News reported that Morgan announced in a video posted to social media that Osbourne will be joining him on a new television network in the United Kingdom called TalkTV. The show will actually be called “The Talk.”

“So what I’m really looking for in my co-workers at TalkTV is somebody who is, well, a bit like me: very opinionated, fearless, funny, knows their own mind, not afraid to speak it, unpredictable, maybe a little bit dangerous, and also somebody who every time they open their gobby mouth it makes global news,” Morgan said in the video.

Osbourne then popped up next to him, saying, “Um, where do I sign Piers?”

“Hi, Sharon,” Morgan replied, at which time Osbourne said, “Hi, darling.”

TalkTV is set to launch later this year, and it’s promised that “things are set to get even more opinionated on Talk TV…”

Scandal On ‘The Talk’

Osbourne was effectively forced out of her job on the CBS talk show “The Talk” last year after she defended Morgan from accusations that he was racist for criticizing Meghan Markle following her tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey. CBS immediately put “The Talk” on a hiatus after Osbourne’s rant defending Morgan. And, the network announced weeks later that she would be leaving the show.

“The events of the March 10 broadcast were upsetting to everyone involved, including the audience watching at home,” CBS said in a statement.

“As part of our review, we concluded that Sharon’s behavior toward her co-hosts during the March 10 episode did not align with our values for a respectful workplace,” the network continued. “We also did not find any evidence that CBS executives orchestrated the discussion or blindsided any of the hosts.”

CBS added that the “network and studio teams, as well as the showrunners, are accountable for what happened during that broadcast as it was clear the co-hosts were not properly prepared by the staff for a complex and sensitive discussion involving race.”

The Osbournes Leaving California

Osbourne and her husband, Black Sabbath’s Ozzy Osbourne, recently announced that they would be moving back to the United Kingdom because taxes had gotten too high in California, where they had been living for the past 25 years.

‘We are leaving L.A. We are a bit sad. But the tax is getting too much. I am sad because I really really like staying and living there,” Ozzy told The Mirror. “If they do the taxes better then I may come back. I do not know.”

This new gig with Morgan could be another reason why Osbourne has made the decision to move back to her native country. Both Morgan and Osbourne are never afraid to tell it like it is, so we we’re sure to be in for an earful when the show kicks off.
