Days after the passing of Queen Elizabeth, who died one week ago at the age of 96, British television personality Piers Morgan instructed Prince Harry to “rein in” his wife Meghan Markle.

‘Rein In Your Royals-Trashing Wife’

Morgan titled his latest New York Post op-ed: “Harry, if you really want to honor your dad, nix your salacious tell-all and rein in your royals-trashing wife.”

The English broadcaster proceeded to hold nothing back in his piece, which he unapologetically used to slam Harry and Meghan for the attacks the couple has launched on the royal family in recent years.

“Harry has been treating Charles in a similarly dismissive way, making a mockery of the couple’s supposed commitment to ‘compassion,'” he wrote.

Harry’s Upcoming Memoir

Morgan went on to address the fact that Harry still has a tell-all memoir in the works.

“One of Charles’s aides told me several months ago that the Palace is absolutely dreading the book, fearing it will drip with poisonous new allegations and target his wife Camilla as some kind of revenge for her role in the break-up of Harry’s parents’ marriage,” he continued.

“That conversation, of course, was before the Queen died and when Charles was just Prince of Wales,” Morgan added. “But now he’s King, and Camilla is his Queen Consort, and any such attack, coming from the new Monarch’s own son, will thus be devastatingly damaging.”

The outspoken presenter then called on Harry to “tear up his lucrative contract with Penguin Random House and cancel the book.”

Morgan ‘Not Fooled’ By Meghan And Harry

This comes after Meghan and Harry put their feud with Prince William and Kate Middleton aside for a day as the four of them came together to thank the Queen’s mourners for their support. Though some were pleased to see the quartet reunite, Morgan felt that it was a “forced unity to wrestle media attention back from their rift to their grandmother in the run-up to her state funeral next Monday.”

While Morgan believed it was respectful for the four of them to come together for the Queen, he also was “not fooled by it.”

“What part of Harry’s treatment of his father in the past few years has shown any of these things?” Morgan lamented. “Instead, he’s shown Charles withering accusatory contempt, and allowed his wife to constantly trash his family and everything they represent, in a way that has attracted endless global negative headlines.”

Morgan Ends His Rant

Morgan concluded by saying that Harry’s “horribly ill-advised book” could show the world that his commitment to “honor” his father is “just a load more disingenuous hot air from someone who, like his wife, loves to preach one thing but practice another.”

Harry and Meghan stepped down as senior royals in 2020 and moved across the world to California, where they signed lucrative entertainment deals with Netflix and Spotify. Since then, they’ve been bashing the royal family seemingly every chance they get, forcing the Queen to spend her final years dealing with their constant attacks.

Morgan is one of the few public figures who hasn’t been afraid to call Meghan and Harry out on their nonsense. Many will certainly agree with his assessment that it’s time for Meghan and Harry to change the way they treat the royal family.
