When you carry the Ali family name, you make an impact wherever you go.
For the PFL, the hope is that Biaggio Ali Walsh can do just that.
Ali Walsh has signed a contract with the fastest growing and most innovative league in sports as an amateur. He will make his debut in November at the next event, PFL Championships.
On that night, the PFL will crown six new world champions, all earning $1 million for battling through the toughest tournament in combat sports.
The 24-year-old has trained in Las Vegas at Xtreme Couture for the past few years. His brother, Nico, is an undefeated professional boxer competing in the middleweight division.
“I want to thank the Professional Fighters League for their support and confidence in me. I can’t wait to enter the PFL SmartCage,” Ali Walsh said. “I have a legacy to live up to, a legacy that my grandfather began, that my brother and I continue, I chose to continue that legacy here in the Professional Fighters League. My one and only goal is to one day become a PFL World Champion.”
Ali Walsh is just another of several fighters on the PFL roster that already includes current boxing world champion Claressa Shields. Shields made her MMA debut last year with the promotion.
Also, Kayla Harrison, an Olympic gold medalist, will be going for another PFL title and $1 million in November when she competes.
