Four featherweights remain in the running for $1 million and the PFL title.
Chris Wade faces Brendan Loughnane and Ryoji Kudo meets Bubba Jenkins in the semifinals. The bouts will be part of Saturday’s PFL Playoffs card live on ESPN from London, England.
The event features Kayla Harrison meeting Martina Jindrova in one of the women’s lightweight semifinals. The other will see Larissa Pacheco take on Olena Kolesnyk.
Wade is the No. 1 seed after a strong regular season, with Kudo the No. 2 seed. Jenkins is the three and Loughnane completes the bracket as the No. 4.
Back in April, Wade earned a decision victory over Lance Palmer. He made the 2021 featherweight finals, falling to Movlid Khaybulaev.
Overall, he is now 5-1 in his last six, having also scored a win over Jenkins in 2021.
Loughnane started off his 2022 with a technical decision over Kudo, adding another win vs. Ago Huskic. In his last 10 fights, he has won nine of them.
Kudo was one of the few to score a finish during the regular season, which propelled him into his standing. He stopped Alejandro Flores in the first round after his loss to Loughnane.
Jenkins also went a perfect 2-0 during the regular season, picking up victories over both Reinaldo Ekson and Kyle Bochniak. He is 7-1 in his last eight, with the lone loss coming to Wade in the 2021 semifinals.
