If you’ve been paying attention recently, it’s worth asking if WWE has big plans for Kevin Owens. Plus, a former NXT talent stiffed a promoter?

Big Plans For Kevin Owens

Anyone who has been watching knows things are different…but does WWE have big plans for Kevin Owens?

According to the Wrestling Observer...they might.

As the report put it, Owens is clearly being protected of late. That could mean some big plans for Kevin Owens.

That would dovetail with Owens declaring that he is bringing back his OG Prizefighter persona.

Fans were happy to hear that. And, on the most recent RAW, fans got to see Owens rocking his attire and entrance video from his NXT days.

So, does the company have big plans for Kevin Owens…and if so…what?

That much is unknown, but given they’ve changed his presentation and had him bring back much more of a mean streak?

It’s a plus.

On top of that, Owens himself put Roman Reigns and every other title holder in the company on notice.

It’s been far too long since KO held gold, and it seems that perhaps that will be changing.

However, it is worth noting that while Owens worked as a babyface on RAW…the company was also in Canada.

He and Sami Zayn, both heels of late, enjoyed face pops Friday and Monday.

So, while the company could be turning Owens, that remains unclear.

He put Ezekiel on the shelf, which screams heel. However, taking on Gable and Otis is the opposite.

It wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world if Owens channeled his inner Austin, and became a 2022 anti-hero type.

Not every face has to be clean cut and a boy scout, right?

Former NXT Talent Stiffed Promoter?

Speaking of not a boy scout, is it true that a former NXT talent stiffed a promoter?

According to the promoter…yes.

The Canadian promoter, Graeme Keam, posted a video to Facebook claiming as much.

According to the initial video, Keam gave the former No Way Jose a plane ticket to fly to work in his show.

Jose took the ticket and went to Florida, where he made his AEW Dark debut during their most recent tapings.

The promoter posted an update later in the day Tuesday indicating that the former NXT talent gave Keam his money back.

Now, there are tons of stories of shady dealings by both wrestlers and promoters, especially in the independent scene.

Plenty of wrestlers have stiffed promoters or been stiffed by them.

Still, it was a shady thing Jose apparently did.

However, the internet wrestling community actually seemed OK with this particular deed. Turns out the promoter might not be the nicest guy.

Check out some of the comments.

The only other thoughts I have? Curious if this was something that Jose had planned for a while, or if it was a spur of the moment better opportunity.

And if it was a better opportunity (AEW trumps an indy, I suppose), I would have thought deep pockets Tony Khan would have sorted out the flights and money before bringing someone in who stiffed a promoter to show up.
