It has shockingly just been revealed that the Hollywood star Angelina Jolie anonymously sued the FBI after an investigation into her ex-husband Brad Pitt was closed amidst their bitter divorce battle.

Jolie Sues FBI Over Pitt

Daily Mail reported that Jolie has been identified as the “Jane Doe” who sued the FBI in the wake of the probe being closed after she claimed that Pitt poured beer on her, injured her, and fought with their son Maddox back in 2016. It has been confirmed that Jolie is the person who filed this lawsuit anonymously back in April.

In the suit, Jolie demanded that the FBI hand over documents related to the investigation into Pitt after she alleged that he “physically and verbally assaulted” her and their children in an incident that allegedly occurred on a private plane.

The FBI ultimately cleared Pitt of any wrongdoing in this incident, which fell under the jurisdiction of the federal government because it occurred during a private jet flight. Jolie filed for divorce days after the alleged incident, asking for full custody of their six children.

Jolie’s Allegations Against Pitt

Jolie claimed in her lawsuit that Pitt had been drinking on the plane before he took her to the back of the aircraft and grabbed her shoulders while yelling “You’re f*****g up this family!” She claimed that she sustained injuries during this flight, and she gave an agent “a photo of her elbow in an attempt to corroborate this.”

Jolie also claimed that Pitt struck their son Maddox, who was 15 at the time, an allegation that the actor has denied. Just before the FBI announced that it would not be charging Pitt, the agent investigating the incident “prepared a statement of probable cause and presented it to the chief of the Criminal Division of the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Los Angeles,” but it was decided not to pursue charges.

Jolie allegedly complained about a lack of transparency as to why this investigation was closed. She then amended the complaint on August 9.

Sources close to Pitt claim that Jolie only filed this lawsuit to bring media attention to the allegations that she’d made against her ex-husband, as they say she had requested the information already for years. One source said that Pitt was cleared by the FBI because there was “not a shred of evidence” to support Jolie’s allegations.

Jolie And Pitt’s History

Aside from Maddox, who is now 21, Pitt and Jolie are also parents to Knox and Vivienne, 14, as well as daughters Shiloh, 16, Zahara, 17, and son Pax, 18. Pitt and Jolie became a couple in 2005 after meeting on the set of Mr. & Mrs. Smith, and he infamously left his first wife Jennifer Aniston for her. They waited nearly a decade to get married, finally tying the knot in 2014 at the Chateau Miraval in France, before Jolie filed for divorce in 2016.

Their divorce battle has been a bitter one, and is still ongoing as of this writing. While Pitt and Jolie each became legally single in 2019, their custody battle has raged on and shows no signs of coming to an end. Jolie still has custody of the children, but Pitt “pushes to see them as often as possible wherever they all are in the world,” according to one source close to him.

“Brad cherishes every moment he gets with the kids,” this source told Us Weekly. “He loves being a parent and has tried to make the best of a tricky situation given how hostile it’s been with Angelina.”

It’s sad to see that this situation has clearly become so nasty for everyone involved. For the sake of the children, we can only hope that Pitt and Jolie are able to find some kind of common ground in the future.
