Bret Hart holds a grudge against Goldberg, who is finally speaking on the matter. And, is AEW wrestler Ruby Soho actually injured?
There is no denying Bret Hart’s wrestling career is hall of fame worthy. For a large time, the Canadian was WWE’s biggest star.
Of course, back then, being a star meant a bidding war. Hart’s contract was up and he could not pass on the offer from WCW.
Unlike in WWE, Hart’s WCW run was not the best. He won several titles, but the booking rarely made sense.
Then, Hart had his career ended after a kick to the head from Goldberg. To this day, Hart still holds a grudge against Goldberg.
Goldberg was recently on “The Michael Kay Show” where he spoke about the matter. The former champion seems upset by Hart knocking his wrestling ability.
“As Goldberg the character and as Goldberg the human, there’s no question about it,” said Goldberg. “When an accident happens and you tell your side of the story and nobody believes it, especially the person who was negatively affected by it, it sucks.”
“I will take it to my grave because I’m sure that he will never forgive me. What else can I say?”
“I said I was sorry, that it was unintentional, that it was the furthest thing from my mind, I don’t know, a million times, and those million times he’s come back with ‘Yes, it was intentional, he’s a punk and he didn’t know what I was doing, and it ruined my career.’ So it sucks.”
“You can lead a horse to water and you can shove their face in the water, but you can’t make them suck it up their esophagus. Pretty pissed off that [Hart] still harbors it, yeah, it sucks.”
The kick would signal the end of Bret’s in-ring career. Although, he did work a few matches after returning to WWE.
Basically, Hart did nothing and those around him did the work. It is doubtful Goldberg hurt Hart on purpose.
Honestly, Goldberg was never trained too well. His power led to a mistake that ended Hart’s carer.
Last week, AEW shot an angle with the Jericho Appreciation Society. They had Tay Conti slam Ruby Soho’s arm into a car.
On Dynamite, Soho was spotted wearing cast. Dave Meltzer on the Wrestling Observer Radio, noted how the it is a work and Soho is fine.
For months, Chris Jericho has been feuding with Eddie Kingston. The angle with Soho was done to keep the angle going.
It is possible this all concludes next week. Kingston and Jericho are set to collide in a barbed wire everywhere this Wednesday.
Soho getting involved in the angle is sort of odd. She was not doing much on TV, but Kingston and Jericho already had plenty of hype.
