LaVar Arrington Backs Up Report On Colin Kaepernick ‘Disaster’ Workout

Earlier this week, we reported that Colin Kaepernick’s agent was trying to deny claims made by the NFL Hall of Famer Warren Sapp, who alleged that the former San Francisco 49ers quarterback’s working with the Las Vegas Raiders last month was a “disaster.”

Unfortunately for Kaepernick, however, Sapp’s claims are now being backed up by the former NFL linebacker LaVar Arrington. But first, check out Sapp’s comments below.

Sapp ‘Ain’t Lying’

“I know Sapp pretty well… He ain’t lying,” Arrington Told Fox Sports Radio. “One thing Sapp is not is a ‘liar.’ If you’ve played for an organization, you know people in the organization. There’s certain places that you can get information that in other cases you wouldn’t get that information.”

“Sapp played for the Raiders, and Sapp probably has a relationship with a couple people that are in the organization,” he added. “If Sapp didn’t know, hear, or have a discussion with someone who was in the organization he wouldn’t have even talked about it.”

Arrington went on to say that he feels that it would be easy for Sapp to obtain credible information about the workout.

“Knowing how Sapp is, the reason why Vlad [the interviewer] even asked it was because he was setting up Sapp to be able to talk about something he already had information on, so let’s just be clear on that,” he said.

“The agent can say ‘well, we talked to the Raiders organization and Sapp didn’t’… well, Sapp might not have talked to the people that YOU spoke to but that doesn’t mean he didn’t speak to people in the organization who A) either knew from other evaluators what the evaluation was, or B) directly to the people who were doing the work out and got that information first hand,” he concluded. “He’s not making that up.”

Sapp Says Workout Was ‘A Disaster’

When Sapp was asked about Kaepernick’s workout, he said, “I heard it was a disaster. I heard it was one of the worst workouts ever.”

Sapp added that he’d heard that the workout was so bad that he is shocked that tape of it hasn’t leaked in the weeks since.

“I’m wondering how the hell this happened and the tape didn’t get out, right?” Sapp said. “I mean, somebody wasn’t over the fence or nothing? Come on, man. We live in a world right now where you can put a drone up and it ain’t like they can stop you.”

Check out Sapp’s full comments on this below.

Kaepernick’s Agent Fires Back

Kaepernick fired back through his agent Jeff Nalley, who claimed that what Sapp was saying was not accurate.

“I guess Warren didn’t talk to the general manager or the head coach,” Nalley told Pro Football Talk. “I spoke to the GM several times and he said they all thought Kap was in great shape and threw the ball really well and encouraged any team to call him about the workout and he would tell them the same.”

“I’m surprised Warren would say that because it’s not true and you would think he would want Kap on a team,” he continued.

Kaepernick has not been signed by another NFL team since he left the 49ers after the 2016 season. Prior to that, he became a controversial figure when he started taking a knee during the national anthem before his games, and though he claimed that he was only doing this to protest against racial inequality in the U.S., many saw the move as a clear sign of disrespect to the American flag.

It should be noted that while Kaepernick claims to be desperate to return to football, he only just compared the NFL to slavery a few months ago in his Netflix documentary series “Colin In Black & White.” He clearly has no respect for the NFL or the United States, so he has no business playing professional football again, in our opinion.

James Conrad

James Conrad’s passion for politics is only overshadowed by his longstanding interest in Hollywood. His unique perspective as a gay conservative fuels him to challenge celebrity views and those who think they have a right to tell anyone how to think or vote. James proudly wields his minority point of view to combat identity politics and cut through his typecast. Fun fact: James’ guilty pleasure is the British royal family.
