Demetrious Johnson Set For ONE’s Amazon Prime Debut In August
Former UFC champion Demetrious Johnson will try again to secure the ONE Championship flyweight title live on Amazon Prime.
Former UFC champion Demetrious Johnson will be featured in ONE’s Amazon Prime debut.
Johnson will take on Adriano Moraes for the flyweight title on August 26. The event will mark the first for the promotion as part of a new agreement with Amazon Prime.
Set from the Singapore Indoor Stadium in Singapore, the card will air live in prime time in the United States.
Johnson dominated the UFC flyweight division before being “traded” to ONE for Ben Askren. He scored a recent win over Rodtang Jitmuangnon in a mixed rules match and is 23-4-1 overall.
Moraes sports a 20-3 mark including a knockout of Johnson back in 2021. He submitted Yuya Wakamata for his 11th career ONE win recently.
Earlier this year, ONE announced a multi-fight deal with Prime Video to air events exclusively in the U.S. and Canada.
The fight was first reported by Ariel Helwani.
