Whoopi Goldberg Abortion The View

Whoopi Goldberg went off on Tuesday’s episode of the ABC talk show “The View” as she discussed the leaked report that the Supreme Court is preparing to overturn Roe v. Wade, which will send the issue of abortion back to the states.

‘This Is My Body’

Goldberg did not take this well, as she issued a blistering defense of abortion rights.

“This is my body and nobody, you know – you got people telling me I gotta wear a mask or don’t wear a mask or do this – everybody wants to tell me what to do, but you won’t let me make my decision about my body,” she said, according to Fox News. “You are not the person to make that decision. My doctor, and myself, and my child, that’s who makes the decision.”

It’s unclear how exactly the child in question would be able to help Goldberg make the decision on whether or not to abort, but we digress.

Goldberg Gets Emotional

Goldberg’s voice became more emotional as she continued her rant.

“If you care about me as a human being, you should know three things: Getting an abortion is not easy. Making that decision is not easy,” she said. “It’s not something people do lightly. It’s not something that you can just do. It is a hard, awful decision that people make.”

“And if you don’t have the wear with all to understand that, to start this conversation with, ‘I know how hard this must be for you,'” Goldberg concluded. “If you’re starting it by telling me I’m going to burn in Hell, then you’re not looking out for me as a human being whether I subscribe to your religion or not, and that is not okay.”

Joy Behar Fears ‘This Is Just The Beginning’

Unsurprisingly, Goldberg’s liberal co-host Joy Behar was upset about the leaked report as well, calling it “devastating.”

“My worry is that this is just the beginning,” she said. “Next they’ll go after gay marriage and maybe … Brown v. Board of Education. They already eroded our voting rights a little bit. So I see fascism down the line here.”

While co-host Sunny Hostin typically agrees with Goldberg and Behar’s liberal views, she went against them a bit on this one, saying that her Catholic beliefs have led her to believe that abortion is “wrong.” However, she made sure to add that she doesn’t want to impose her beliefs on others, perhaps in an attempt to appease her leftwing friends Goldberg and Behar.

Of course, the women of “The View” ignored the fact that this kind of report being leaked from the Supreme Court is completely unprecedented, and never should have happened in the first place. That’s where their outrage should be directed right now, not at those who are pro-life.
