Ugly Engagement Rings

An engagement ring is one of the more significant purchases someone can make in their life. Why do we care so much about a shiny piece of pressurized carbon? Who knows, but the reality is that engagement rings are crucial in everyone’s relationship. So how do people end up with ugly engagement rings?

It should be a decision one makes carefully because you hope that your fiance and future wife will wear this ring forever. Most engagement rings are simple and pretty and showcase a simple diamond surrounded by gold and/or silver.

But the following ugly engagement rings are so bad and so tacky that you have to wonder if the wedding ever even took place.

We say they’re the ugliest engagement rings, but of course “ugly” is in the eye of the beholder and I am sure some of you would love to have some of these more unique engagement rings. Let us know which is your favorite.

The Cheesiest Ring

Who doesn’t love Mac n Cheese? I’m sure there are people out there who don’t, but I don’t want to meet or know them. But do you love mac so much that you’d wear it as a symbol of your undying love and betrothal

This may be an ugly engagement ring, but it’s also cheap! For just $18, you can propose to love honor, and, cheddar the love of your life.

The Mardi Gras Mask Ring

The aggrieved woman posted that ring to a FB group hoping for support, what she got instead was a bunch of roasts.

One wrote: “Are you marrying the Phantom of the Opera?”

Another added: “Oh this is that new Marvel line of jewellery. This is the Iron Man band.”

The Mask Ring 2: En Garde!

While we’re on the subject of mask rings, how about this one that looks like a fencing mask?

Twitter reminds me that it looks like the wedding ring from Twilight.

The Doorknob Ring

Knock Knock. Who’s there? The biggest mistake of our life!

I am skeptical of any ring that looks like a blacksmith made it made from a medieval knight’s gauntlet.

A Final Note On Complaining About Ugly Engagement Rings

Yes, we did torch some of these terrible rings. But I have to say, if you are the type of person to complain about the engagement ring you receive, then you aren’t a good person. It is on you as much as they to find the perfect ring. It is perfectly reasonable to help guide your clueless fiance into finding the perfect ring for both of you in today’s era.

If you don’t like the ring you got, then that is your own fault! Start your marriage off right with open lines of communication! Go to the jeweler together and discuss what is within your taste, style, and budget.

Besides, even if you get the ugliest engagement ring there is, it’s the thought that counts, right?

Right?
