Yesterday, we reported that the former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick had taken part in a workout with the Las Vegas Raiders. Now, Raiders Coach Josh McDaniels is refusing to talk about Kaepernick and his potential future with the team.

Coach Refuses To Talk About Kaepernick

“We will only talk about the people that are on our team,” McDaniels said during a press conference on Thursday, according to The New York Post. “Dave (Ziegler) and his staff have worked out tons of guys this spring.”

“We really don’t make comments about the evaluations that we made or what they looked like, what they didn’t look like, strengths and weaknesses, those kinds of thing,” he added. “They are obviously kind of private for us as we look at things to try to make decisions to make the team better. If players are added to the team, then obviously we’ll talk about them at that point.”

Will Raiders Sign Kaepernick?

Kaepernick’s workout with the Raiders on Wednesday marked the first time that he had worked out with an NFL team since leaving the 49ers after the 2016 season. It is unknown if the Raiders are considering signing him, and they have made it clear that they will not be discussing him publicly until they potentially put him on their team.

“We brought in tons of people for workouts,” McDaniels explained. “If there’s an opportunity to improve the team, we said it from Day 1 that we would look at every opportunity. He’s not the first player that we’ve looked at and not the last one. There are going to be a lot of people who are going to come in and out of this building and have an opportunity to make an impression.”

Kaepernick’s History

Kaepernick is arguably known for his “woke” ways, as he began taking a knee during the national anthem before his games with the 49ers. Though he claimed he was doing this to protest against racial inequality in America, many felt that this was a clear sign of disrespect towards the American flag and those who have fought and died for it.

Since leaving the 49ers, Kaepernick has made millions off bashing both the NFL and the United States through his multi-million dollar deals with brands like Nike and Netflix. Though he literally just compared the NFL to slavery in his Netflix documentary “Colin In Black & White” back in the fall, Kaepernick is now effectively begging to be allowed to play professional football again.

It’ll be interesting to see it the Raiders make Kaepernick’s supposed dreams come true by signing him. As for us, we can only hope that they do not, as his anti-American nonsense has no place on the football field.
