It has just been revealed that Thomas Markle, the estranged father of Meghan Markle, has suffered a major stroke just days before he was set to fly to London for Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations.

Thomas Markle Suffers Stroke

News of Thomas’ stroke was revealed by Daily Mail reporter Dan Wooton, who said that Meghan’s father “is currently receiving urgent medical treatment in an American hospital.”

“I am devastated to report this news, just seven days before Thomas would have joined me in London to celebrate the Queen’s 70th year on the throne for a TV special on my GB News show, fulfilling his long-held wish to visit Windsor Castle,” Wooton wrote.

“But, in a cruel twist of fate, he will now be unable to make the trip as he recovers in hospital, just like he missed his daughter’s wedding to the Duke of Sussex after suffering from a heart attack,” he added.

Samantha Markle Speaks Out

Samantha Markle, the estranged half sister of Meghan, also addressed their father’s current health situation.

“My father is recovering in hospital,” she said. “We ask for privacy for the family, for his health and wellbeing. He just needs peace and rest. Godspeed. We are praying. He just needs some rest. It’s a travesty how much he’s been tortured and how much he’s had to go through thanks to my sister’s disregard the past few years. That is unforgivable.”

Samantha reportedly became worried yesterday when Thomas lost his speech during their daily phone call. She immediately called some friends who live near Thomas, and they were able to rush him to a hospital in Tijuana. Sadly, his condition was found to be so serious that he was moved to a hospital across the border in the United States overnight.

Thomas’ Health In Jeopardy For Weeks

Thomas’ relatives have reportedly been worried about him for weeks, as he’s been targeted online by Meghan’s supporters, who have taken issue with him starting his own YouTube channel. In the lead-up to the stroke, Thomas’ blood pressure had reportedly been a cause for concern.

Thomas had been determined to fly to the United Kingdom for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, which is set to take place next month to celebrate her record-breaking seventy years on the British throne. There, he was to be hosted by Lady Colin Campbell, and he was going to take part in various events to honor the Queen and his own Scottish heritage.

Meghan has not spoken to her father since before her 2018 marriage to Prince Harry. It remains to be seen whether his current health situation will lead to her reaching out to him.
