Sharon Osbourne Whoopi Goldberg Holocaust

The British television personality Sharon Osbourne is speaking out this week to reveal why she believes Whoopi Goldberg was not fired from the ABC talk show “The View” after she outrageously claimed that the Holocaust was not about race.

Backstory: Calls Grow For Whoopi Goldberg To Be Fired After She’s Suspended From ‘The View’

Osbourne Sounds Off On Goldberg

“I’ll tell you why, because it’s the Jews, and nobody gives a f***,” Osbourne said when asked why Goldberg wasn’t fired, according to Yahoo News.

Goldberg was suspended from “The View” for only two weeks for her comments about the Holocaust.

“Let’s be truthful about it because the Holocaust isn’t about race,” Goldberg had said. “No. It’s not about race… The minute you turn it into race, it goes down this alley. Let’s talk about it for what it is. It’s how people treat each other. That’s the problem.”

Osbourne Fired From ‘The Talk’

This was in stark contrast to how Osbourne was treated on the CBS talk show “The Talk,” which she was fired from last year after she defended her friend Piers Morgan from accusations that he was racist for criticizing Meghan Markle, the wife of Prince Harry.

“I just couldn’t stop crying because all I was thinking about was all the things that I’ve gone through in my life, and now they’re calling me a racist, this is insanity,” Osbourne said of this firing.

Osbourne also said that she received death threats in the wake of her firing.

“They were saying they were going to come in the night, cut my throat, cut [my husband] Ozzy’s throat, cut my dogs’ throats,” she recalled, according to Page Six. “I said, ‘I ain’t going out, I ain’t doing anything.’”

Morgan Defends Osbourne

Morgan defended Osbourne earlier this week, telling The Sun, “I’m particularly delighted about that [Sharon’s new show on Talk TV] because Sharon got cancelled from her show ‘The Talk’ in America after 10 years, a show that she loved and was the star of, because she tweeted her support for my right to have an opinion.”

“She didn’t even agree with the opinion,” Morgan added. “She just said I was entitled to it, which by the way I was.”

Back in September, Osbourne defended herself in the wake of her firing.

“It was a freedom of speech matter. It was pure freedom of speech,” she told Daily Mail. “A journalist friend of mine who wrote something that people didn’t like and then a few crazies out there, some thugs go, ‘You must be racist, that’s why you’re saying it,’ about my friend Piers. It’s like, come on.”

We applaud Osbourne for sticking to her guns on this. What Goldberg said was far worse than anything that came out of Osbourne’s mouth, so if anyone deserved to be fired, it was Whoopi.
