Prince Harry Queen

As Queen Elizabeth celebrates her 96th birthday today, her grandson Prince Harry is being blasted for being “delusional” after he claimed in a new interview that he just wants to make sure his grandmother is “protected” and that she has “the right people around her.”

Harry Claims He Wants Queen To Be ‘Protected’

During an interview with the “Today” show host Hoda Kotb that aired earlier this week, Harry discussed the visit that he and Meghan Markle had with the Queen at Windsor Castle last weekend.

“Being with her, it was great. It was just so nice to see her. She’s on great form,” Harry said.

“She’s always got a great sense of humor with me and I’m just making sure that she’s, you know, protected and got the right people around her,” he added.

Harry Slammed For Comments

Unfortunately for Harry, however, it didn’t take long for this comment to blow up in his face, as social media users have pointed out just how ridiculous it is for him to think he’s the one protecting the Queen when he’s spent much of the last two years publicly bashing the royal family.

“Prince Harry says on US TV he is making sure the Queen is ‘protected and has the right people around her.’ How so?” commented royal biographer Robert Jobson, according to Newsweek. “I think you’ll find that Prince Charles and Her Majesty’s children and William are DOING just that and supporting the Queen, with actions—and not just words.”

“Such an odd statement by Harry that he is making sure the Queen is ‘protected.'” he added. “I hope it is not left hanging, and the obvious follow up questions of ‘why, how and from who?’ are asked. I hope US interview it is not an another Oprah where brash statements by H are unchallenged.”

Harry Is ‘Delusional’

Royal commentator Dan Wootton also blasted Harry for his comments, going so far as to say he is “delusional.”

“If Prince Harry was really so concerned about the ‘right people’ being around the Queen to ‘protect’ her, then why the hell did he leave it NINE MONTHS to check on her because of a pathetic row with the government over security?” he wrote. “The bloke becomes more delusional by the day.”

Political analyst Nile Gardiner said that Harry’s comments are about more than just family tensions and undermining the monarchy.

“Staggeringly tasteless, out of touch interview from Prince Harry after the relentless attacks on the Royal Family coming from the Meghan/Harry household in California…” he wrote. “The biggest issue here is the fundamental lack of respect shown towards the Queen and Monarchy by Meghan/Harry, who have actively undermined Royal Family…”

Harry saying that he’s out to “protect” the Queen shows not only how delusional he is, but also how self-centered he is. The Queen has been doing just fine on the British throne for the past seventy years, so she doesn’t need protection from anybody, least of all her “woke” grandson Harry.
