Reigning PFL champion Bruno Cappelozza claimed a convincing victory Thursday night.
Cappelozza, the defending heavyweight champion, stopped Stuart Austin in the main event of PFL 2. The event aired live on ESPN2 and ESPN+.
Following a dominating run through the division a year ago, Cappelozza started 2022 much the same.
In the co-main event, featherweight runner-up Chris Wade topped former two-time champion Lance Palmer. Wade scored a decision victory.
Renan Ferreira also claimed a win n the heavyweight division, scoring the fastest knockout at 25 seconds.

Next week, at PFL 3, we move to the midway point of the season with one of the biggest cards our sport has ever seen.”
“(Thursday) at PFL 2 the Heavyweights and Featherweights brought action and intensity to the SmartCage,” said Ray Sefo, President of Fighter Operations of the PFL. “MMA fans around the world saw thrilling tactical fights as well as highlight reel knockouts, action that is consistently on display from PFL’s world-class athletes.”
Other winners included Brendan Loughnane, Denis Goltsov, Ante Delija, Bubba Jenkins, Klidson Abreu, Sheymon Moraes and Alejandro Flores.
