The PFL returns Thursday night with the heavyweights and Bruno Cappelozza.
PFL 2 takes place live on ESPN2 from the Esports Stadium Arlington in Texas. Action will also stream on ESPN+ and around the world on premium distributors.
Reigning 2021 heavyweight champion Cappelozza meets Stuart Austin in the main event.
Last year, Cappelozza put his name on the MMA rankings by blitzing through the heavyweight regular season and tournament. That ended with the big man $1 million richer and with a big, gold belt.
Now, though, Cappelozza becomes the hunted. Each time out, his opponent will be looking to knock the champion off. And while there is no title defense, it will definitely feel like that.
Along with Cappelozza vs. Austin, Ante Delija and Matheus Scheffel meet in another heavyweight main card bout, along with Renan Ferreira and Jamelle Jones.
Delija made a successful run to the finals a year ago, coming up short after five grueling rounds with Cappelozza.
Two more heavyweight fights are set for the prelims. Denis Goltsov battles Sam Kei and Ali Isaev tangles with Klidson Abreu.
The featherweight division will fill the rest of the fight card.
Brendan Loughnane battles Shooto veteran Ryoji Kudo in the co-main event.
On the prelims, former champion Lance Palmer looks to reclaim his spot when he battles Chris Wade, while veteran Bubba Jenkins faces off against Kyle Bochniak.
Sheymon Moraes vs. Boston Salmon and Alejandro Flores vs. Saba Bolaghi complete the night.
