Colin Kaepernick Raiders Mark Davis

Colin Kaepernick is reportedly desperate to return to the NFL after five years of not playing professional football despite the fact that he compared the league to slavery in his Netflix documentary just a few months ago.

Now, Kaepernick has been given some good news, as the Las Vegas Raiders owner Mark Davis has spoken out to say that he is open to signing him.

‘I Believe In Colin Kaepernick’

“I believe in Colin Kaepernick,” Davis said this week, according to Fox News. “He deserves every chance in the world to become a quarterback in the National Football League. I still stand by it.”

It’s a bit ironic that Davis would stay that he “stands” by Kaepernick, given the fact that the former San Francisco 49ers quarterback is best known for taking a knee during the national anthem before his games, but we digress.

“If our coaches and general manager want to bring him in or want him to be the quarterback on this team, I would welcome him with open arms,” he continued.

Kaepernick ‘Is A Very Misunderstood Human Being’

“I think Colin is a very misunderstood human being,” Davis added. “I’ve gotten a chance to talk to him. I never really knew Colin, and I didn’t understand him. I didn’t understand the kneeling, what that meant initially. Over time, I have learned a little bit more about it.”

Kaepernick claimed that he was taking a knee during the national anthem to protest against racial inequality in America, but many saw the move as a clear sign of disrespect to the American flag and those who have fought and died for it.

Leftists love to claim that Kaepernick hasn’t been signed by another team in over five years because the NFL is “racist,” but others have pointed out that he led the 49ers to an abysmal losing record during his final season with the team, indicating that it’s actually his lack of football skill that has led to him not being signed again.

Kaepernick Begs NFL To Take Him Back

Earlier this month, Kaepernick effectively begged the NFL to take him back.

“I just need that opportunity to walk through the door,” Kaepernick said while appearing on the podcast “I AM ATHLETE.”

“I know I have to find my way back in,” he added. “So, if I have to come in as a backup, that’s fine. But that’s not where I’m staying. And when I prove that I’m a starter, I want to be able to step on the field as such. I just need that opportunity to walk through the door.”

It remains to be seen whether or not the Raiders will follow through with giving Kaepernick a chance.
