Colin Kaepernick Effectively Begging NFL Teams To Sign Him – ‘I Can Help You Win Games’

Former San Francisco 49ers quarterback turned full-time social justice activist Colin Kaepernick hit a new low over the weekend when he resorted to effectively begging NFL teams to re-sign him.

Colin Kaepernick Participates In NFL Throwing Audition

During Michigan’s home game on Saturday, Kaepernick reunited with head coach Jim Harbaugh, who invited him to take part in a throwing audition for NFL scouts.

Kaepernick said afterwards that he desperately hopes that this audition will garner him a “starting job” in the NFL.

Kaepernick claimed to WXYZ Detroit that he “absolutely” still has what it takes to play in the NFL, even though it’s been over five years since he played professional football.

“Really, getting out here for the exhibition was to be able to show that I can do that. It’s one of the questions that my agent kept getting. ‘Well it’s been five years, can he still play?’” Kaepernick said.

“So we want to make sure that we come out and show that I can still play, still throw it and really just looking for an opportunity for a door to open – to have that be a pathway to be able to get back in there, get a starting job and lead a team to a championship,” he continued.

Colin Kaepernick Pitches Himself To NFL Teams

Not stopping there, Kaepernick began pitching himself to any team that would take him.

“I can help make you a better team, I can help you win games,” Kaepernick said in a message to the watching scouts. “I know right now the situation likely won’t allow me to come in, step into a starting role. I know I’ll be able to work my way to that though and show that very quickly.”

“So to the teams that have questions, more than anything I would say I’d love to come in for a workout,” he concluded. “I’d love to sit down with you and have that conversation about how I could help you be a better team.”

Would You Take This Bet?

Kaepernick became infamous during his 2016 season with the 49ers for taking a knee during the national anthem before his games.

Though he claimed that he was doing this to protest against racial inequality in America, many saw the move as a clear sign of disrespect to the American flag and those who have fought and died for it.

Liberals have tried to portray Kaepernick as some sort of martyr, saying that he has not been signed by another team since he left the 49ers in early 2017 because the NFL is “racist.”

Others, however, have pointed out that Kaepernick led the 49ers to an abysmal losing record during his final season with the team, meaning his own lack of football skill could be the reason he was not signed.

In the end, any team that signs Colin Kaepernick would be inviting a major distraction. One that may or may not bring a competitive level of football ability to the football field. Would you take the gamble if you were an NFL coach with Super Bowl aspirations?

James Conrad’s passion for politics is only overshadowed by his longstanding interest in Hollywood. His unique perspective as a gay conservative fuels him to challenge celebrity views and those who think they have a right to tell anyone how to think or vote. James proudly wields his minority point of view to combat identity politics and cut through his typecast. Fun fact: James’ guilty pleasure is the British royal family.
