Roman Reigns vs Brock Lesnar

Former UFC champions Brock Lesnar and Ronda Rousey were busy this past weekend.

Both were key parts of the epic WrestleMania 38 event from Dallas.

And both fighters suffered defeats.

Rousey lost to Charlotte Flair in one of the featured bouts during Saturday’s portion of the two-night card. The former Olympic bronze medalist suffered her first singles loss in a WWE ring.

Lesnar, meanwhile, headlined the Sunday night extravaganza, falling to Roman Reigns in a match to unify the belts.

Over 156,000 fans packed the AT&T Stadium in Arlington for the two nights, including over 78,000 on Sunday.

While Rousey and Flair did not go on last, they were advertised as the main event bout. After Rousey forced Flair to tap, she noticed the referee had been knocked out.

Rousey went to check on the ref and Flair delivered a boot to the face to knock her down and out for the count.

In the “Winner Take All” main event on Sunday, Reigns hit all of his finishers on Lesnar, but could still not put him away. He also nailed the former college wrestling standout with the belt.

Finally, Reigns was able to connect on a spear and unify the WWE championship and the WWE Universal title belts after 12 minutes.

Shayna Baszler, who was a competitor on The Ultimate Fighter and competed for the UFC, was involved in a fatal four-way match for the WWE tag team titles.

Baszler, a close friend of Rousey’s, paired with Natalya. Sasha Banks and Naomi were declared the winners.
