Patricio Pitbull became Bellator champion once again at Bellator 277.

But it was not without controversy.

Pitbull claimed the featherweight title with a decision victory over A.J. McKee Friday night live on Showtime. The loss was the first in the career of McKee, who won the title with a submission of Pitbull last year.

All three judges scored the fight in favor of Pitbull, a former two-division champion. McKee, though, was left shocked at the end of the night.

In the co-main event, Vadim Nemkov and Corey Anderson was declared a no-contest. The light heavyweight title fight ended in the third round after a clash of heads.

Aaron Pico and Linton Vassell were each winners on the main card, scoring finishes.

On the prelims, Tyrell Fortune, Kyle Crutchmer  and Tyson Miller earned key victories.
