Mark Wahlberg took to social media to display his ashes and share a brief message of positivity and prayer to his fans.
In a short video from what appears to be a beach, the Transformers: Age Of Extinction star wished his followers a happy Lenten season and asked people to “pray.”
Such a simple statement, but a powerful one. I wonder if Mark is on set today or will keep his ashes on? Or will he keep ashes on for shooting even if he is on set? Tradition dictates that you leave them on throughout the day.
Unfortunately, many Christians in Hollywood have to de-emphasize their faith in the face of enormous secular pressure. Hollywood sneers at most Christians, especially those who are out and open about their faith.
Fortunately, a few prominent celebrities are unafraid to show their faith.
The Star-Lord only bows before one Lord, and that is Jesus. Pratt has spoken on the importance of faith and how he wants his kids to grow up Christian. Pratt attends Zoe Church in Los Angeles.

One of television’s most successful actresses, Heaton, has long been open and proud of her faith in Jesus.

The Fuller House and 90s icon always takes the chance to discuss her faith and how it has positively impacted her life. What I find most admirable about her is that she grew up in the brutal world of Hollywood while retaining her deeply held beliefs and hope in Christ.
In this video she talks about going to the Bible for reassurance.

Denzel is a man of deep faith. He grew up in the Church of God in Christ and still donates to the church. Speaking on his faith, the Oscar winner stated:
“The fundamental message is in the Bible, which I’ve read three times from front to back..If you don’t practice love, you’re missing the point. I believe in love thy neighbor.”
I am not Christian, but I grew up in it and still have great admiration for those who sincerely follow it.
Too many use Christianity as a weapon and not as a tool.
Celebrities too often think their opinions are paramount. The smugness is nauseating. The Christians I mentioned above show their faith with an earnestness that offers the benefits of religion.
