Jane Fonda Launches Climate PAC To Take Down ‘Fossil Fuel Industry’
Jane Fonda, who is also known as Hanoi Jane, has launched a new climate PAC that is named after herself and targeting fossil fuels.
Oscar-winning Hollywood star/infamous protester Jane Fonda has launched a new political action committee whose goal will be to take on climate change – she’s calling it the Jane Fonda Climate PAC.
Jane Fonda Announces Climate PAC
I am incredibly proud to announce the launch of @janeclimatepac and send a message to all the politicians who are bankrolled by fossil fuels: You should be as scared for your careers as we are by the climate spinning out of our control. Join us https://t.co/YRXBUeMUbJ pic.twitter.com/OrBb3r4Nq1

In a video message announcing the Jane Fonda Climate PAC, the woman who was once nicknamed Hanoi Jane said that she’s “never been afraid to stand up to politicians who ignore the realities of what’s at stake.”
“Scientists have been very clear: We have to cut our fossil fuel emissions in half by 2030,” Fonda said, according to The Hill. “We have eight years — that’s just four election cycles — before the point of no return. And there’s no question that the obstacle between saving the planet and not is the money that has a stranglehold on our politicians.”

Fonda went on to say that the one goal of her PAC is to “do whatever it takes to defeat the political allies of the fossil fuel industry, no matter which side of the aisle they’re on.”

Her new PAC said in a statement that it will “support climate champions and work to defeat the allies of the fossil fuel industry in both primary and general elections at the local, state, and federal levels through grassroots organizing and investments in paid media campaigns.”
The primary advisor to Fonda’s PAC will be Ariel Hayes, a former Sierra Club national political director.
“Let’s send a message to the politicians who are bankrolled,” Fonda concluded. “You should be as scared for your careers as we are by the climate spinning out of our control. We will not back down.”

Remember Jane Fonda’s Climate Protests?
While leading climate protests in Washington D.C. back in 2019, Fonda made headlines by being arrested multiple times.

The Barbarella star told The Washington Post after one of her arrests that she had intended to be arrested.
“I’m going to take my body, which is kind of famous and popular right now because of the series, and I’m going to go to D.C. and I’m going to have a rally every Friday,” Fonda said at the time. “It’ll be called ‘Fire Drill Friday,’ And we’re going to engage in civil disobedience and we’re going to get arrested every Friday.”
Jane Fonda has been known as one of the most radically liberal people in Hollywood for decades, and her latest move shows that not much has changed since her days protesting the Vietnam War.
If only Fonda would give it a rest and go into retirement, because hearing her spew her left-wing nonsense has gotten real old at this point.
