Some bad news for Bayley fans as she will likely not return in time for WWE WrestleMania 38. Also, Shotzi Blackheart is dealing with a back injury.

Bad News For Bayley Fans

Initially, reports revealed that Bayley would return in time for WM 38. However, this all seems up in the air now.

PW Insider’s Mike Johnson reveals that the WWE has no plans for Bayley until after their annual flagship event. It looks as if the former RAW and SmackDown Women’s Champion will return to regular TV after WM 38.

Bayley Could Return Before WrestleMania 38 … Plans Do Change

While fans were hoping to see Bayley return at both the Royal Rumble and Elimination Chamber, neither ended up happening for one reason or another. It’s sad news for many that she won’t be performing on the Grandest Stage of Them All.

With that said, plans change all the time within the land of the WWE. Only time will truly tell.

Bayley signed with the WWE in 2012 and debuted in NXT in early 2013. It wasn’t too long after that she became NXT Women’s Champion.

By 2016, she entered WWE’s main roster. Over her tenure with the company she’s become RAW Women’s Champion, SmackDown Women’s Champion (twice), and Women’s Tag Champion (twice, with Sasha Banks).

She was also crowned Miss Money in the Bank in 2019 and was the first WWE Women’s Triple Crown Champ and Grand Slam Champ. Bayley certainly has a Hall of Famer resume at this point.

Over to some news about a SmackDown talent. Shotzi was easing nicely into the main roster but has been absent from TV for some time.

Shotzi Blackheart Back Injury

Blackheart turned heel in late October 2021 when she attacked Sash Banks. She was making some great strides on SmackDown but hasn’t been on the Blue brand for a while now.

There seems to be a good reason for her absence from TV. Shotzi recently spoke to Mondragon Chiropractic, revealing that she’s dealing with a painful lower back injury.

During the interview, she notes that she’s gotten x-rays done. She also states the injury is “nothing crazy”, but her pelvic bone is titled forward.

Shotzi Couldn’t Function

She’s currently doing rehab exercises and reports that she’s feeling much better than a month ago. She felt the back pain instantly in the morning after a match.

As Blackheart puts it, she “slid” off her bed and on the floor. She couldn’t put pressure on her knees or crawl.

Shotzi states that she’s been “off” for a little bit now. Here’s hoping she recovers real soon.

There’s no timeline around her full recovery and return to the ring. With WrestleMania around the corner, here’s hoping she feels better soon rather than later.

Blackheart signed with the WWE in 2019 and debuted on NXT shortly after. She entered the main roster, joining SmackDown, in the summer of 2021.

During her time with the WWE, she’s become an NXT Women’s Tag Champion with Ember Moon. Here’s hoping Shotzi recovers well so she can get back into action (and storylines).
