UFC 271: Israel Adesanya, Tai Tuivasa Enjoy Their Victories

Israel Adesanya, Tai Tuivasa and Jared Cannonier were among the big winners at UFC 271 Saturday night.

Adesanya defended his middleweight title in the main event over Robert Whittaker. The card took place from Houston’s Toyota Center. 

The win was the second for Adesanya over Whittaker, a former champion. 

Earlier in the night, his next challenger may have emerged in Cannonier. The red-hot contender finished Derek Brunson.

Tuivasa also made a statement, besting Derrick Lewis with a vicious elbow in the co-main event.
