Mark Wahlberg Torches Cancel Culture – ‘It’s Not My Place To Judge’

Mark Wahlberg is one of the few A-list Hollywood actors who is not afraid to be open about his strong Christian faith. Unfortunately, in this day and age, it leaves him vulnerable to being targeted by the far-left cancel culture that is quickly taking over our nation.

On Wednesday night, Wahlberg went on Fox News to open up about his thoughts on cancel culture as a strong Christian man.

Wahlberg Discusses Cancel Culture

“Do you think we as a people, as a society, are too quick to judge and drop people into boxes and cancel them over one offense, one problem, one moment in their lives?” asked host Raymond Arroyo.

Wahlberg replied, “Yeah. Especially when you have stuff in your own closet that you have to worry about.”

“For me personally, I know I’ve made a lot of mistakes in my life, but I have been focused since I was 16 to 17 years old [on] turning my life around,” he added. “And that is a daily task that I have to continue to work on. And we all have our moments, it’s not my place to judge. And I know that all the work that I’m doing is to hopefully, when it’s my day to be judged, that I get a pass and I get to go.”

Wahlberg’s New Christian Movie ‘Father Stu’

Wahlberg is doing press interviews promoting his new movie Father Stu, in which he plays a boxer who manages to turn his life around and become a priest. This film resonated with Wahlberg because it mirrored his own journey in life in many ways.

“It was just about finding the right story to tell at the right time,” Wahlberg explained. “These movies are not easy to get made … But it’s one of those things where since the pandemic, lots of things have happened to me personally, [with] all the uncertainty in the world, dealing with mortality, losing my mom, losing my other sister, losing so many friends.”

“God has continued to bless me and put me in this situation not to continue to grow and work on Mark Wahlberg the person, but to do his work and finally giving me the skills and the tools to go out there and articulate the message that he wants me to,” he continued.

‘People Need To Have Faith And Hope’

When asked why the story in Father Stu is needed right now, Wahlberg responded, “People need to have faith and hope.”

“Young men need to know what it’s like to be a real man … I didn’t know that we’d be releasing this movie in a pandemic,” he added. “I just knew that I needed to make this movie and this was my calling. This was my mission, and now it’s needed more than ever. And hopefully, it will do some really important work and help a lot.”

When asked if Father Stu is a turning point in his movie career, Wahlberg simply replied, “It’s certainly a turning point for me in my life.”

The movie comes out April 15.

God bless Wahlberg for continuing to show the world what a good, hard-working Christian man looks like. If only we had more stars in Hollywood like him!

James Conrad

James Conrad’s passion for politics is only overshadowed by his longstanding interest in Hollywood. His unique perspective as a gay conservative fuels him to challenge celebrity views and those who think they have a right to tell anyone how to think or vote. James proudly wields his minority point of view to combat identity politics and cut through his typecast. Fun fact: James’ guilty pleasure is the British royal family.
