Maks Chmerkovskiy Kirstie Alley

Maksim Chmerkovskiy slammed his former “Dancing With The Stars” partner Kirstie Alley over a tweet she posted about the situation in Ukraine that has since been deleted.

Chmerkovskiy Criticizes Alley

“I don’t know what’s real or what is fake in this war. So I won’t be commenting. I’ll pray instead,” read Alley’s initial tweet, according to Daily Mail.

This did not sit well with Chmerkovskiy, who is currently in Ukraine.

“Dear Kirstie, we haven’t spoken in a while, but I clearly remember being right next to you while you were organizing trucks of aid during Hurricane Sandy and I remember all that you were saying to me about situations where innocent are suffering,” he wrote on his Instagram Story.

“That same energy is needed right now. No one needs your prayer if you don’t know what’s real or fake,” he added.

Alley Fires Back

Alley appeared to respond to Chmerkovskiy on Sunday, according to Fox News

“I don’t care what the punk a– t—s say. I believe in the power of prayer. I will continue to pray for the people of Ukraine,” she wrote in another tweet that has also been deleted. “Putin is a c__t and a coward and I’ll pray his own soldiers refuse to do his dirty work. PS, I pray to the same God you do. So get over your nasty selves.”

She also defended herself in another tweet:

Chmerkovskiy and Alley competed on the 12th season of “Dancing With The Stars” back in 2011, coming in second place. Check out one of their dances below.

Chmerkovskiy has been open with his followers about his experience in Ukraine right now, saying that the situation is “aggressive” and “dire.”

‘The whole country is being called to go to war,” he said on Friday. “Men, women, boys… are going forward and getting guns and getting deployed to defend the country.”

“We haven’t been told to move, and I’m just following instructions,” he added. “That’s all I can say.”

Peta Murgatroyd Asks For Prayers

Chmerkovskiy’s wife Peta Murgatroyd, who is also a pro on “Dancing With The Stars,” has asked fans to pray for him.

“Please pray for my husband Maks,” she said last week. “I don’t usually ask these things from my social media network, however today is extremely hard and the next few will be even harder.”

Chmerkovskiy revealed today that he will be leaving Ukraine after he got arrested, not specifying why exactly he was arrested. Please join us in saying a prayer for him and the other people of Ukraine as the Russian invasion continues.
