Two Title-Fight Rematches Set For UFC 272 In March

A pair of championship rematches will headline UFC 272 this March.

Max Holloway challenges Alexander Volkanovski and Petr Yan meets Aljamain Sterling on March 5.

Volkanovski will be defending his featherweight title against Holloway. This will mark the third meeting between the two.

The reigning champion pulled an upset back at UFC 245 when he claimed the title via decision over Holloway. Seven months later, Volkanovski did it again, defending this time.

Volkanovski will be putting his title on the line for the third time. He earned a defense over Brian Ortega in September.

Holloway has reeled off wins over Yair Rodriguez and Calvin Kattar to earn another shot at Volkanovski.

Sterling, the reigning bantamweight titleholder, will meet Yan to unify the belts. Yan claimed the interim belt with a win over Cory Sandhagen late last year.

In the first meeting between the two, Sterling walked away with the belt after Yan was disqualified. Yan the winning the bout at the time.
