“Teen Mom 2” reality television star Jenelle Evans is defending herself after a clip resurfaced in which she was accused of dissing “woke” former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick.

Evans Confronted By Kaepernick’s Girlfriend

The Sun reported that in the 2019 clip, Evans stormed off the set of the reunion show when she was confronted by Kaepernick’s girlfriend Nessa Diab the reunion show’s host over negative comments she’d made about the ex-San Francisco 49ers quarterback.

“You posted hateful comments on social media about my family. My man, Colin Kaepernick,” Nessa told Evans, who denied saying anything negative and claimed she didn’t even know who Kaepernick was. She then began  to cry and ran off the set.

Despite Evans’ claims, she had indeed blasted Kaepernick online months before, calling him the “most disrespected guy in the NFL” as she attacked his campaign with Nike.

Evans’ Anti-Kaepernick Facebook Post

“Let’s choose the most disrespected guy in the NFL for our promos. Let’s add a slogan about sacrificing, everyone will love it,” Evans wrote on Facebook as she mocked Nike. “Let’s choose the man that kneels at our flag,’ YOU’RE WRONG.”

“I will not be buying Nike anymore,” she continued. “Chris Kyle’s wife wrote a huge letter about how she feels and I couldn’t agree more. HER husband actually DID sacrifice A LOT. Nike should change their ‘motto’ immediately. Nike needs a new PR person pronto.”

Evans proceeded to share Kaepernick’s Nike ad along with the caption, “Donald J. Trump unemployment rate is so low, even Colin Kaepernick found a job! MERICA!”

‘I’m Not A Racist’

On Monday, Evans took to TikTok to defend herself by claiming that she was “set up” by producers on the reunion show.  (Language warning.)

“First of all, I’m not a racist, let’s get that out of the way,” Jenelle raged. “Second of all, I don’t know who Colin Kaepernick is, I don’t keep up. Third of all, this was clearly a setup from the beginning. We were there to talk about my storyline and not Nessa’s and Nessa had to use my limelight.”

Evans then denied writing the original Facebook post that was anti-Kaepernick.

“Yes, I was very flustered because I didn’t know where this Facebook post even came from,” she alleged. “Then I realized, ‘Oh, it’s my Facebook fan page where I have like four admins that post clickbait and so do the other Teen Moms.’ I’m definitely going to tag MTV because this is the bulls**t that still follows me to this day.”

It’s unfortunate that Evans is not standing by the Facebook post, because everything in it was spot on. Kaepernick is someone who has made millions off disrespecting America, and he never deserved a deal with Nike.
