Howard Stern Calls Out Oprah For Hosting Lavish Parties During COVID

Shock jock radio host Howard Stern is calling out liberal elite Oprah Winfrey for her hypocrisy after she held a party “every night of Christmas” over the holidays despite the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Stern Rips Into Oprah

“I’m really amazed by Oprah, I really am. On her Instagram she likes to take you into her house where every night of Christmas is a big party like a celebration and she flies in a different chef,” Stern said on his show on Monday, according to The Daily Caller. 

“It’s getting very confusing to me,” he added. “I see what’s going on with COVID. Everyone’s got it. Everyone’s sick. People have a 104 fever. I don’t want to have a 104 fever, I don’t want to get sick so I’m hiding. But everyone else is out running around. I see Oprah is having dinner parties.”

Stern Doubles Down 

When Stern’s co-host Robin Quivers asks how many people were attending Oprah’s parties, he replied that it seemed to be the former talk show host’s best friend Gayle King as well as “20 young ladies from Africa who are orphans or something.”

“But I’m watching Oprah and there’s always these young girls, about 17 or 18, young women who are invited to Oprah’s palatial estate and Oprah, on every one of these videos, marches out a different chef every night and she goes, ‘Here on the holidays, I have a different chef every night,’”  Stern said as he mocked Oprah’s typical tone of voice. 

Quivers responded by saying that being invited to Oprah’s house seemed like a “nightmare.”

Oprah’s Lavish Christmas Parties

Oprah has made no secret about her holiday gatherings gleefully posting about them on social media.

“Every night during holiday season we eat delicious foods from different countries and tonight we had Haitian cuisine with Chef @gg30000,” she captioned a video of one of her parties. “To my Haitians friends everywhere, enjoy your soup joumou on January 1st!”

Oprah Claims She’s Taking Precautions

Despite backlash from Stern, Oprah claims to be taking all the precautions that she feels are necessary to hold these parties. 

“Everyone who is spending Christmas at my house has to be vaccinated, boosted, tested, and quarantined. Stedman calls it ‘The Policy’ cause I’m that serious about it,” Oprah said last month, according to Fox News. 

It should be noted that we are currently in the midst of a surge of the Omicron variant of COVID-19, with many people who are fully vaccinated and boosted testing positive for it.

Oprah can pretend that she’s taken every precaution all she wants to, but holding large nightly parties at this time seems like just another example of a liberal elite having the attitude of “rules for thee, but not for me.”
