Mike Tyson

Mike Tyson used to be a scary dude. No socks, black trunks, fists that could put you into another dimension. After a lot of downs and a few ups, Iron Mike has turned a new leaf. The semi-retired pugilist is now an entrepreneur trying to live a peaceful life.

But he isn’t doing it alone, he’s getting by with a little help from his froggy friends, literally. Tyson experienced a pretty gnarly trip with the assistance of a Sonoran Desert Toad that produced a psychedelic drug known as DMT.

“In my trips I’ve seen that death is beautiful. Life and death both have to be beautiful, but death has a bad rep. The toad has taught me that I’m not going to be here forever. There’s an expiration date.”

Far out man. Tyson certainly seems like a changed man. A man previously known for threatening to eat and BBQ opponents’ children is now some stoner hippie who talks about death being a continuum and all of us being nature’s children?

I’m not sure I’d ever try DMT, my brain is scary enough as it is.

Mike seems to be a frequent user of the drug.

And, Mike just ripped the toad venom on a podcast

The former Baddest Man On The Planet is now so at peace at the world he would literally not hurt a fly.

What Is DMT?

Psychedelic drug dimethyltryptamine, or DMT, is found in a variety of plants and animals, including frogs. Recreational users use this substance for psychedelic experiences, and it is prepared by different cultures for ritual purposes.

Depending on the dose and the mode of administration, DMT can be inhaled, ingested, or injected.

This drug’s effects last about five to fifteen minutes when inhaled or injected, earning it the nickname the “Business trip” of drugs.

Ingestion of an MAOI, such as the ayahuasca brew of many Amazonian tribes, may prolong the effects for up to three hours or more. The effects of DMT can involve euphoria and dynamic hallucinations of geometric forms, as well as vivid “projections” of mystical experiences.

Can Mike Tyson Still Fight?

Last November Mike Tyson squared off in an exhibition match against fellow boxing legend Roy Jones Jr. While Jr looked ill-prepared for the fight, Tyson looked to be in great shape. He continues to train, and still sends shivers down spines with his menacing punching power

Personally, I don’t think Tyson needs to fight anymore. Not unless it’s a great payday. He has nothing to prove and seems to have his life on track as a spokesman and business owner.

However, there are rumors Tyson is going to fight Logan Paul, which I would pay to see. Why? Because like everyone else I want to see one of the Paul brothers get pummeled into the ground by a real fighter in a real fight.

On another note, I would highly recommend the documentary Tyson. Not only does it give a fair portrait of Mike Tyson and his life, but it gives insight into a man who may actually be a boxing genius. Here is he discussing his Top 10.
