The PFL will handle out a special season MVP award this Wednesday night.

PFL Championships takes place live on ESPN2 and ESPN Networks. In the main event, Kayla Harrison seeks another title and looks to remain unbeaten.

The card also features Ray Cooper III vs. Magomed Magomedkerimov and four more championship matches. All the winners will receive a belt and $1 million.

PFL officials announced that $PFL fan token holders will have the opportunity to vote for the season MVP. Each of the six champions will be eligible for the award.

The announcement is a continuation of the unprecedented partnership throughout the 2021 season, as the PFL became the first US-based sports league to launch a Fan Token on Socios.com, joining. $PFL Fan Tokens are collectible digital assets that provide owners with access to voting rights in polls, VIP rewards, exclusive league and sponsor promotions, AR-enabled features, chat forums, games and competitions.

“The PFL continues to innovate with leading technology innovations to engage with the 550 million MMA fans worldwide and we’re thrilled to continue our partnership with Socios.com and provide our $PFL fan token holders with the ability to cast their vote for the MVP of the 2021 PFL season,” said Peter Murray, CEO of Professional Fighters League. “The PFL World Championship will be a night to remember and it’s only fitting to award one of our champions as the MVP of the 2021 PFL season.”

The partnership has been a tremendous success since the initial $PFL Fan Tokens sold out in less than 10 minutes earlier this year. The PFL has utilized Socios.com and their capabilities by giving fans who bought $PFL Fan Tokens the opportunity to vote for the fight of their choice to be featured on the main card of PFL 1 along with fighter bonuses throughout the season.

“Socios.com is proud to build upon our partnership with the Professional Fighters League,” said Alexandre Dreyfus, CEO of Chiliz and Socios.com. “Elevating fan engagement has become an essential staple in sports. It’s rewarding to work with a league such as PFL that shares the same vision and continues to bring that goal to fruition for MMA fans around the world.”
