Jorge Masvidal

Jorge Masvidal represents the definition of a fighter.

And at the moment, he can’t be that.

Masvidal, in an interview with MMA Uncensored, talked about his recent quest to get a bout in the UFC. And how frustrated he has become.

“I’ve been freaking going in and out of Hunter (Campbell’s) office and calling him and they still haven’t given me a date or opponent,” Masvidal said (thanks to MMA Fighting for the quotes). “I wanted to fight this year. I don’t know what the (expletives) going to happen.”

Masvidal has remained busy, promoting his Gamebred Fighting Championships. The 36-year-old is coming off an April knockout loss to Kamaru Usman for the UFC welterweight title.

He also lost to Usman in 2020 via decision for the belt. Prior to those two setbacks, though, Masvidal had reeled off three consecutive wins by finish over Nate Diaz, Ben Askren and Darren Till.
