Radically liberal television personality Joy Behar has co-hosted ABC talk show “The View” for 23 seasons, and during that time, she’s found herself in hot water many times.

Behar started on “The View” when it debuted in 1997, along with creator Barbara Walters, and co-hosts Star Jones, Debbie Matenopoulos, and Meredith Vieira. She is the show’s only original so-host remaining.

Behar Discusses Her Time On ‘The View’

“Well, I’ve gotten in trouble a few times on the show,” Behar, 78, told People Magazine

Behar went on to indicate that she’s been forced to apologize on air in the past.

Though her past actions do have some people puzzled in lieu of what’s happened recently with Mike Richards.

“I’ve had to apologize, which I’m happy to do in order to save mine and everybody else’s job. I don’t care,” she continued. “Even if I don’t mean it, I’ll do it. Even if I look like I’m in a hostage takeover, I’ll still do it, because if you don’t do it, you lose your job and everybody else’s.”

The 25th season of “The View” is set to premiere on September 7 with Behar returning to the panel alongside liberals Whoopi Goldberg, Sunny Hostin, and Sara Haines.

Meghan McCain, the token conservative on the show, left the program last month. A list of right-wing guest hosts will be filling her seat for the next few weeks until a permanent replacement for her is found.

Behar On What Makes ‘The View’ Successful

Created in 1997 by Barbara Walters, the format of the show hasn’t changed much over the years. “The View” continues to be a multigenerational female panel discussing the day’s news and “Hot Topics.”

When asked about the success of the show, Behar said it’s really quiet simple.

“You have a bunch of women who speak their minds and enjoy the blowback,” she explained. “That’s our stock-in-trade.”

While Behar was open about being forced to apologize in the past, she also made it clear that she has no intention of changing who she is moving forward.

“My comedy has never been vicious or mean because my intent is just to make you laugh,” Behar said. “That’s all. I don’t have any other motive. And so if the intention is in the right, and your heart is in the right place, I think that you can never really go wrong. I’ve offended people for sure, but whatever.”

Behar Rants Against Conservatives Every Day

Joy Behar spends her days on “The View” ranting and raving against Conservatives as she spouts her ignorant leftwing ideologies.

Given the fact that the ABC talk show has always been stacked with liberals, Behar oftentimes gets away with spreading her liberal nonsense unchallenged while the token conservative on the panel is typically shouted down by Behar and her leftwing colleagues.

Here’s hoping ABC finds a conservative replacement for McCain who is actually able to shut Joy Behar down.
