Teacher Cites Discrimination Against ‘White, Christian, Able-Bodied Females’ In Tearful Resignation Speech To Virginia School Board

A powerful video is going viral this week showing a fifth grade teacher from Virginia break down in tears resigning right on the spot, citing discrimination, and denouncing the school board’s “highly politicized agendas.”

Teacher Resigns Over Politicized Agenda

Laura Morris explained to the school board why the ‘equity trainings’ and political dogma gave her no choice but to resign. She also spoke out against teachers being asked to report on their colleagues if they criticized the teaching program. 

She has taught at Lucketts Elementary School in Leesburg, Virginia, for five years, and has been a teacher for 10 years.

“Within the last year, I was told in one of my so-called equity trainings that White, Christian, able-bodied females currently have the power in our schools and that ‘this has to change,’” said teacher Laura Morris, who worked in the Loudoun County Public Schools district. 

“Clearly, you’ve made your point,” she added. “You no longer value me or many other teachers you’ve employed in this county. So since my contract outlines the power that you have over my employment in Loudoun County Public Schools, I thought it necessary to resign in front of you.”

Morris Breaks Down

“School board, I quit,” Morris continued as she began to get emotional. “I quit your policies, I quit your training, and I quit being a cog in a machine that tells me to push highly politicized agendas to our most vulnerable constituents – children.”

Morris proceeded to claim that the higher-ups in the school district had told her not to express these views. 

When Fox News reached out to the district for comment, it only replied by saying, “LCPS does not comment on personnel matters.” 

A district spokesperson had previously said that LCPS “has stated, consistently, that it does not condone the actions of employees – or anyone – who would target fellow members of the community for expressing their viewpoint.”

LCPS Embroiled In Critical Race Theory Controversy 

LCPS is one of many school districts all over the country that has come under fire for the use of Critical Race Theory, which effectively indoctrinates the minds of children with radically liberal, race-baiting ideologies.

Though LCPS officials have denied teaching CRT, they have admitted that it heavily influences their work.

“In explaining LCPS’ equity priorities, it might be helpful to state what they are not,” then-Interim Superintendent Scott Ziegler said earlier this year. “They are not an effort to indoctrinate students and staff into a particular philosophy or theory. What they are is an effort to provide a welcoming, inclusive, affirming environment for all students.” 

“LCPS’ work on equity is a journey that requires the commitment of staff at all levels,” he continued. “I feel the staff’s work, which has been sustained, honest and undertaken in good faith, has been misrepresented recently by some members of the public.”

Another LCPS Teacher Speaks Out

LCPS teacher Monica Gill has previously said that Critical Race Theory has only caused division in the community, adding that teachers were told to “disrupt and dismantle this systemic racism.”

“And I can tell you, one thing that’s for sure, it has been disruptive because there are parents who disagree with this ideology, there are teachers who disagree with it, there are students who disagree with it — and it is harmful,” she continued. 

Critical Race Theory being taught to children is out of control, and if we don’t do something to stop it soon, the next generation of this nation is doomed.

Laura Morris stood up for what she believes in and is refusing to take part in this type of indoctrination that is booming around the country.
