Eric Bischoff discussed the recent WWE releases as well as the current position of AEW. The former manager believes that the WWE put AEW in a phenomenal position at this point in time.

Bischoff claims that AEW could reap the benefits of the WWE’s recent actions.

First, Bischoff talked about the way in which AEW used CM Punk’s return.

“You and I talked about this a little bit recently that it is such an unusual time, in my opinion, for WWE to be releasing, not just talent in general, but top talent with big equity at a time when CM Punk is being dangled like the golden carrot, and I don’t mean that to be derisive at all. I think they’re doing a great job with it. AEW has done such a phenomenal job of building up anticipation not only for CM Punk, but on the heels of CM Punk, possibly, want to make sure I’m clear about that, you’ve got Daniel Bryan following up in New York.”

Of course, Bischoff is certainly not wrong. The social media world is absolutely buzzing with rumors about the impending arrival of both CM Punk and Daniel Bryan.

Evidently, the last word about impending arrivals has not been said. After all, Daniel Bryan and CM Punk are not the only guys who recently left the WWE Universe.

Bischoff believes that the recent WWE releases puts AEW in the best position possible. In fact, he hints that this could be the thing to tip the scales in favor of AEW.

“Now, how does that relate to this third hour on Friday night you ask? Well, you didn’t, but I’m gonna tell you anyway. I think AEW is in a phenomenal position, due in large part, or in least in some part because of the release of Bray Wyatt. The timing is just mind boggling to me, and let me be clear, I think that there are a lot of things, I believe, wholeheartedly, going on behind the scenes at WWE, AEW and everywhere else that as viewers, as fans or even in our respective cases, we have relationships with people within those organizations at the highest levels.”

Bray Wyatt is definitely a wildcard in the world of pro wrestling right now. After all, the wrestler is known for his creative ideas that seem to hit off with the wrestling universe.

If left with a proverbial “carte blanche” in AEW, Bray Wyatt could be an incredible draw moving forward. Of course, he should not be able to use his other brainchildren in the form of The Fiend and the leader of the Wyatt family.

Since Wyatt undoubtedly has a no compete clause, we will have to wait a while to see where he will end up. For now, my money is on AEW.
