Dan Hooker isn’t happy with his fellow fighters.

Hooker, who is set to face Nasrat Haqparast, recently appeared on Submission Radio. There, he let it be known that he tried to find a fight with anybody in the rankings, but nothing worked.

“So, everyone on here’s been following the Submission Radio Dan Hooker search for a fight. We have tried everyone, top to bottom on the rankings list. That’s like the major thing people are saying, like, why aren’t you fighting a ranked opponent? Why don’t you try to get this fight? Why don’t you try…? Top to bottom of the whole rankings, I tried to fight absolutely everybody. Everybody is booked or injured,” Hooker said. “They’re either already matched, injured, or washing their hair. That’s the entire explanation for that. I called out everyone. We could go through the list, but it’s absolutely everyone in the rankings. I said their name and tried to pick a fight with them. Sean Shelby calls me a couple of weeks ago and he just says, mate, I’ve tired everyone. I’ve tried calling everyone. No one’s [available]. They’re either not picking up the phone or they’re running into some kind of hurdle.

“So, Nasrat actually just called me out of respect. He saw my challenge, that I put it out there saying I’ll fight anyone, I’m looking at fighting at this date, I will fight absolutely anyone. He said yeah, I’ll put my hand up to fight. So, I told Sean Shelby to go after him. So, it was pretty much ask and you shall receive.

“So, credit to Nasrat for taking up the challenge and getting after it and stepping in there. That’s really how you make a name for yourself in this sport, is getting out there and challenging yourself, taking risks, taking opportunities. Yeah, credit to him. I got nothing but nice things to say about Nasrat.”
