As protests continue in Cuba over the oppressive communist regime in the nation, UFC star Jorge Masvidal has taken to Twitter to post a video in which he describes the country as a “killing machine.”

Masvidal Sounds Off On Cuba

He is extremely proud to be an American. Masvidal was born and raised in Miami by his Cuban father and Peruvian mother. He recently fought UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman, and was knocked out in the second round. His next fight will be later this year but the opponent is yet to be named.

Warning, explicit language in the video below.

“My father escaped Cuba when he was 14 years old,” Masvidal began. “And I’ve only heard the horror stories since I could process thoughts of how s— this communist regime, killing machine is. So I just want to shed some light on Cuba — big SOS signal for them.”

Masvidal Doubles Down

Masvidal proceeded to let his fans know just how bad things in Cuba really are.

“This oppression has been going on for 61 years,” he continued. “It’s not just because of the pandemic, or it’s not just because they ran out of medicine, because they’ve been out of medicine, they’ve been out of resources and food.”

“Because of the corrupt government, the extreme corruption over there where only a few at the top eat and everybody else has to suffer — those days have to come to an end,” Masvidal said.

Masvidal, who Fox News reported has a 35-15 record in the UFC, called on people from all over the world to rally behind Cuba and speak out against “these corrupt governments.”

“Let’s go, spread the messages online, we gotta protest, we gotta get together, get attention,” Masvidal concluded. “Maybe the local media channels in America won’t cover this, or in other parts of the world. But I think it’s up to us to put the word out there.”

Rapper Pitbull Calls Out Cuba

Masvidal isn’t the only celebrity posting a video like this one to social media this week. The rapper Pitbull also called for the world to take action to help the protesters in Cuba in a video of his own.

“This is a message to the world. We need to stand up, step up. But if you don’t understand what’s going on, then you need to wake the f*** up. Not only is this a Cuba event, a Cuba thing, this is a world event. This isn’t about politics. This is about saving lives. This is about unity, not division.”

“To all of the Cubans out there going through what’s happenings in Cuba right now: you guys are the ones who are going to motivate and inspire world, so they can see what it is to live and die for liberty,” he concluded

Given the fact that radically liberal ideologies like communism and socialism are on the rise in the United States, every American should be keeping an eye on what’s happening in Cuba right now.

Jorge Masvidal and Pitbull are shedding light on the what’s happening to the people of Cuba.

The people of Cuba are desperate to have the kinds of freedoms that millions of Americans take for granted.
