Kurt Russell’s Son Oliver Hudson Recalls The Perfect Punishment His Dad Once Gave Him

Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn have been together for nearly 40 years, and they are just as much in love today as they ever were. Though her two children Kate and Oliver Hudson from a previous marriage are not Kurt’s biological children, he still raised them as his own from the time that they were young.

Oliver Recalls Punishment From Kurt 

In an interview with late night host Jimmy Kimmel, Oliver recalled the unique punishment that Kurt gave him when he was arrested as a teenager for paint-balling some adults on Halloween.

At the police station, officers even fought over who would get to call Oliver’s parents, once they found out they were Goldie and Kurt!

Once Oliver got back home, he found out the hard way that his dad had a very interesting punishment planned for him.

“My punishment was to shoot up my Honda Prelude with blue leather interior,” Oliver recalled. “I had to shoot up my car and dent it up, and ride around in it for the rest of my existence. He has this philosophy where I knew what I did was wrong, so why ground me? Just destroy your car and you will have to drive it for as long as you have this car.”

Kate Talks Kurt And Goldie Falling In Love

Kate and Oliver previously recalled how even though they were only 3 and 6 years-old when Kurt came into their lives, they knew right away that Goldie was falling for him.

“Mom said that’s when she fell in love with Kurt -right away was because she brought him back to the house and we had already been asleep, and we shared a room… and he sat down next to each of us, he sat down next to you first and watched you sleep and then came by,” Kate explained.

Kate then remembered meeting Kurt’s son Boston, who was from a previous relationship as well.

“I remember the first time I ever saw Boston,” she said. “It was the first time I remember Kurt talking about his son and I remember it was almost like, for me, it felt like such a big moment.”

“It was like ‘My mom is obviously madly in love with this guy,’ and for me at the time it’s like ‘Is this going to be my dad?’ and I was meeting his son which meant … does this mean this is my brother?'” Kate added.

In a world where so many stars seem to be so full of themselves, Kurt and Goldie’s family is refreshingly down to Earth.

Kate, Oliver, and Boston sure were lucky to have parents like them!
