We have reached ‘fight week’ between Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier. And that means the intensity is amplified by a thousand.

The two square off for a third time this Saturday night in the main event of UFC 264. Both have earned a win over the other, with Poirier picking up a victory earlier this year vs. McGregor.

As former champions and top contenders, the two definitely know how to drive the needle. And that is exactly what is happening right now.

While the two have tried to keep it clean, it was McGregor firing off the first blow in response to comments made by Poirier in which “The Diamond” stated that McGregor “reeks of insecurity.”

“He talks some amount lately,” said McGregor, during an Instagram Live segment (thanks to The Mac Life for the quotes). “He’s going to pay for that, that’s for sure. It’s not going to be nice.”

McGregor admitted mistakes were made during his prep for the most recent meeting with Poirier. After a strong first round, the former two-division UFC champion falted, falling to Poirier in the second.
