Actor Jussie Smollett Back In Court Over Lying To Police About ‘Hate Crime’

Actor Jussie Smollett is back in court this week over his false filing of a police report claiming he was the victim of a hate crime that he manufactured in January 2019. The actor continues to maintain his innocence against what he calls a “dog and pony show.”

Smollett initially got a free pass from Cook County State’s Attorney Kim Foxx. But, a judge assigned a special prosecutor to look at the case. Irregularities were found in how Foxx’s office handled the case putting the actor back in legal hot water.

In February of 2020, a Grand Jury brought six counts of felony misconduct against him for allegedly lying to police about the attack he claimed was made against him

Kamala Harris Called It A “Modern Day Lynching”

The now-disgraced actor famously garnered worldwide attention when he allegedly paid for a faux racist attack to be staged on him in Chicago.

His hate crime hoax dominated headlines and stoked racial tensions across the nation. Plenty of Democratic politicians and actors rushed to his defense.

Vice President Kamala Harris even called it a “modern day lynching” and said Jussie Smollett is “one of the kindest, most gentle human beings” she knows.

Jussie Smollett claimed he was a victim of a hate crime in the middle of the night in Chicago by President Trump supporters.

He created a spectacle to drive the narrative that anyone pro-Trump is clearly racist and hate fueled.

However, it didn’t take long for that narrative to crash.

In fact, the police investigation proved that Smollett himself hired two Nigerian brothers to attack him.

He claimed his imaginary racist attackers yelled “This is MAGA Country.”  Then he said they put a noose around his neck while yelling racist and homophobic things.

The Nigerian brothers, Olabinjo and Abimbola Osundairo, cooperated with Chicago Police to expose Smollett’s race-baiting and phony hate crime.
