Kate Middleton’s Uncle Reveals She’s ‘Trying to Mediate’ Harry and William’s Ongoing Feud

Kate Middleton’s uncle describes the Duchess of Cambridge as a mediator who is seeking to bring about peace between Prince Harry and the Royal Family.

Gary Goldsmith is the brother of the Kate’s mother Carole. While the Royals are unable to speak publicly about the racism and neglect accusations made by Harry, Goldsmith can. And he knows that Kate is one seeking to correct the ship. 

Goldsmith describes his niece as a “brilliant arbiter and peacemaker.” Certainly these are laudable attributes in a future queen, but it also is proving useful in this very tense situation. 

“But if anyone can bring peace to the royals, Kate can,” her uncle said. “Kate is a brilliant arbiter and peacemaker. Every bone in her body is about making friends and doing the best she can… she’s trying to mediate.”

Goldsmith points to the fact that Kate, Harry, and William used to be a very close trio. She accepted Harry as a younger brother. Now, she is trying to utilize that former camaraderie to repair the relationship. 

Prince Philip’s Funeral

It was evident this is what Kate was attempting to do after Prince Philip’s funeral.

That was a chance to have productive talks away from Meghan Markle.

While that certainly wasn’t enough time to make amends, hopefully it will help remind Harry of what once was and the importance of his family.

But, this is going to take time as Harry continues grabbing the microphone to speak against his family and the monarchy. 

Kate’s uncle also added that Prince Harry needs to “get a grip” and stop his self-indulgent episode” before it gets to the point of no return.

“If you want an easy life, work it out privately and have a conversation respectfully. Don’t air it in public, it’s really hurtful,” Goldsmith said. 

Second Time This Year Kate’s Uncle Spoke Up 

This isn’t the first time in recent months that Gary Goldsmith has defended his niece. After watching Harry and Meghan’s interview with Oprah, as Prince Philip was dying, he came to Kate’s defense as well. 

Meghan accused Kate of making her cry before her wedding. This row over dresses was never meant to go public, but Meghan saw it as an opportunity to paint Kate in a negative light while framing herself as a victim. 

This tactic didn’t work on a lot of people, including Goldsmith.

“I’ve known Kate since she was born and she doesn’t have a mean bone in her body. It’s just simply not in her nature,” he said at the time. “She’s even lovelier on the inside than on the outside. If anyone had a hissy fit, it must have been Meghan. Kate would have been trying to make the peace.”

After the bombshell Oprah interview, Goldsmith posted a message on LinkedIn calling Harry and Meghan “muppets craving attention.” He also said, “You just don’t do what they did and then go on Oprah and talk like that. It’s just not the way the world works. I don’t believe a word of it.”
