The world is still reeling from Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s explosive tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey that aired earlier this month. Now, Kate Middleton’s uncle is speaking out about the claims Meghan made about his niece in the interview.
Meghan Bashes Kate
Gary Goldsmith could no longer stay silent about the recent interview that Meghan and Harry did with Oprah. He ripped into Meghan for claiming that it was Kate who made her cry at a bridesmaids’ dress fitting for Princess Charlotte in November of 2018. He said it was the other way around, as the media reported.
“A few days before the wedding, she was upset about something pertaining—yes, the issue was correct—about flower girl dresses, and it made me cry, and it really hurt my feelings,” Meghan alleged in the interview.

Goldsmith, however, was not having any of it.
“I’ve known Kate since she was born and she doesn’t have a mean bone in her body. It’s just simply not in her nature,” he told Daily Mail. “She’s even lovelier on the inside than on the outside. If anyone had a hissy fit, it must have been Meghan. Kate would have been trying to make the peace.”
“I would fight for Kate’s honor until the day I die,” he added. “She is the most spectacular person I’ve ever met.”
During her Oprah interview, Meghan also claimed that nobody stepped in to help her be a royal, something Goldsmith is skeptical of as well.
He particularly took issue with her claim that she was left with no choice but to Google the words of the British national anthem herself.
“When Meghan first entered the Royal Family, I was made up for Harry,” he said. “Like the rest of the country, it seemed she was the real deal and it was a marriage made in heaven. But what has happened is heartbreaking. I don’t blame Meghan—she’s a Hollywood starlet. You can’t blame a tiger for biting the head off a sheep.”

‘I Don’t Believe A Word That Comes Out Of Her Mouth’
“But I don’t believe a word that comes out of her mouth. She’s an actress and knows how to manipulate her audience,” Goldsmith added. “I don’t believe for a second she had to Google the words to the National Anthem. Harry has been singing it since the age of five.”
Not stopping there, Kate Middleton’s uncle also questioned Meghan’s claim about her mental health being in jeopardy during her time as a royal.
“The last time I checked, he [Harry] was the face of a mental wellbeing charity,” he said. “Where was he in all this? Surely as her husband, he should have been able to give her the help and support she needed.”
“He’s a senior Army officer who has been in a war zone. He should be able to stand up for himself and his wife,” Goldsmith said. “He shouldn’t claim to be family-centric when he has hurt everyone who loves him. ”
‘The Royal Family Is Not Racist’
“You don’t ask for anonymity and take a step back from public life to then throw your family and your grandmother under a bus on TV,” he concluded. “Why would you do that? The royal family is not racist, it’s not sexist, it’s not ageist. They are a moral compass.”
While many would say that Goldsmith hits the nail on the head here, criticizing Meghan in any way has become the latest most cancellable offense in cancel culture.
He might want to watch his back after saying these things, because Meghan’s brigade of “woke” fans will definitely be coming for his head.
