Chris Pratt surprised four deployed servicemembers for Father’s Day. The “Avengers” star gave them all a sneak peak of his upcoming film “The Tomorrow War.” In addition to that, he is taking the families of these heroes out to dinner.

Pratt has a strong history of supporting current members of the military and veterans.

He understands the debt of gratitude we owe them and looks for ways to show his appreciation.

In this instance, he is also including families who carry an added burden of being without their soldier as he serves our country.

Dinner For Families of Deployed Servicemembers

“We’re going to give you guys, your families at least, a special dinner and a sneak peek of the movie that y’all can watch together,” the 41-year-old actor said. “That’s coming from us to you with a tremendous amount of love and gratitude for your service.”

“The Tomorrow War” should be relatable to these members of the military and their families.

Pratt stars as a family man who is drafted into a futuristic war.

“My favorite part of this life that I’ve been blessed to be able to live and lead is to be able to openly show support for our men and women in uniform,” Pratt told them. “You mean the world to me, I mean that.”

It is the second time in a week that Chris Pratt has promoted the military.

He also shared a very patriotic and emotional post and video of the Navy Leap Frogs doing a parachute dive with a very large American flag.

Pratt’s Brother Served In The Army

Pratt took some questions during the Zoom meeting.

When asked about his decision to become an actor, he said it was something he wanted “his whole life.”

He used the opportunity to acknowledge his brother’s service in the Army and law enforcement.

“My brother went into the Army and he’s now a sheriff’s deputy. I thought I wanted to be an actor, but I thought I wanted to be an actor the way a kid wants to be an astronaut,” he said. “I knew I wanted to do it but I never knew how I’d do it.”

The movie debuts on Amazon on July 2nd. Pratt shared a trailer for “The Tomorrow War” on Instagram:
