Fomrer champion Robert Whittaker scored a key victory over Kelvin Gastelum Saturday night in the main event of UFC Vegas 24.

The event took place from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, airing live on ESPN and ESPN+.

Whittaker, a former middleweight champion, used his strong striking and effective wrestling to counter anything Gastelum attempted.

The co-main event saw Andrei Arlovski score a decision victory over Chase Sherman. The two heavyweights exchanged serious punches throughout, with Arlovski getting stronger as the fight went on.

An injury to Drakkar Klose after weigh-ins on Friday canceled the planned co-headliner with Jeremy Stephens. Klose cited the face-off incident for his reason for being removed.

Jacob Malkoun bested Abdul Razak Alhassan, Tracy Cortez topped Justine Kish and Luis Pena downed Alexander Munoz to complete the main card.

Prelim winners included Alexander Romanov, Jessica Penne, Gerald Meerschaert, Austin Hubbard and Tony Gravely.
