In the crazy world of Hollywood, it’s rare to find a marriage that is able to stand the test of time. That’s why it’s so impressive that Hugh Jackman just celebrated his 25th wedding anniversary with his wife Deborra-Lee Furness!
Jackman, 52, took to social media to celebrate the occasion with a touching note of love for his 65-year-old wife.
“Being married to you Deb is as natural as breathing,” Jackman wrote alongside photos from their 1996 wedding. “From nearly the moment we met… I knew our destiny was to be together.”
“In our 25 years — our love has only grown deeper,” he added. “The fun, excitement and adventure more exhilarating; the learning even greater. I’m forever grateful to share our love, our life – and, our family together.”
“We’ve only just begun. Deb, I love you with all my heart!” Jackman concluded.

Jackman and Furness met in 1995 on the set of the Australian TV show “Correlli.” During a 2018 appearance on the “Today” show, Jackman opened up about the secret behind their long-lasting marriage.
“We’re really honest with each other. We talk about everything,” he said. “Deb had a few rules when we met because she’d done a few movies. She said, ‘We won’t spend more than two weeks apart.’ We never go to bed on a cross word. Sometimes it’s three o’clock in the morning, but we kind of work it out before we go to sleep. Basically being honest.”
“I think relationships, you’ve got to be yourself, even the bits you don’t love. The bits you’re embarrassed about or things you did wrong,” Jackman continued. “If you’re in a situation where you can be yourself and really be honest, that’s a good start. And then if you marry the sexiest, funniest, most beautiful woman in the world, that’s a great start.”
The couple have two children, Oscar and Ava, that they adopted after struggling for years with infertility and two miscarriages.

US Magazine reported that in March of last year, Jackson revealed that the COVID-19 pandemic has only brought him and Furness “closer.”
“Literally, my wife is dancing behind the camera as we speak,” Jackman said at the time. “We were just saying the other day — we have never spent this much time together. But having this time without either of us working, being with the family … we’ve had this opportunity to be together, and the results are in: closer.”
We would like to wish Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness a very happy anniversary, and we hope that they have many more!
