Jane Fonda spoke out this week to reveal why she never wants to be in a sexual relationship again.

Fonda Isn’t Interested In A ‘Sexual Relationship’

Fonda, 83, told Harper’s Bazaar that she no longer has any interest in being in a “sexual relationship.”

Here’s Fonda on the cover of Harper’s Bazaar:

“I don’t want to be in a relationship, a sexual relationship, again. I don’t have that desire,” Fonda said.

In what has to be the ultimate “TMI” revelation, Fonda said that she still has sexual fantasies, particularly ones involving a younger man.

“Do I fantasize? Yes, here’s my fantasy. I’ll just put it out there,” she said. “That I meet a professor or a researcher, somebody in that line who is really capable of loving, of cherishing a woman, so that I could test myself and see if I could show up.’

“I think maybe now I could, but the problem is that, like a man, I would want a younger man,” Fonda added. “Isn’t that awful? It’s a thing about skin. I would want a younger man, and I’m too vain.”

Fonda Isn’t Capable Of Intimacy

Another reason that Fonda does not want to be in a relationship is because she feels she is no longer capable of intimacy.

“One of the painful things that I’ve realized by 80 — I don’t even know how old I am — 83, and single now. What I’ve had to really think about is that I’m not really capable [of intimacy],” Fonda revealed.

“It’s not them. It’s me,” she added. “If a guy had come along and said, ‘Come on, Fonda, show up,’ I would have run away scared. I was attracted to men who never would have done that to me because they couldn’t necessarily show up themselves. I didn’t know that at the time, but now I know. I don’t think I can do anything about it now, but that’s the truth, as Lily [Tomlin] would say. That’s the truth.”

Marriage To Ted Turner

Jane Fonda’s been married three times. She was first married to French director Roger Vadim from 1965 to 1973. They had a daughter, Vanessa, in 1968. Then, she married politician Tom Hayden in 1973 and had a son Troy. She and Hayden divorced in 1990.

Fonda’s last marriage was to CNN founder Ted Turner from 1991 until 2001. She felt that the need to please her husband was the downfall of the relationship.

“When I married Ted — I mean, marrying Ted is like marrying 15 people — you have to learn how to hunt, so I did. You have to learn how to fly-fish, so I did. He liked me to dress sexy, so I did. And so forth. I wanted to,” she explained. “Why be with Ted Turner if you’re not going to allow yourself to be absorbed in his reality and learn from it? And I’m glad I did.”

Frankly, it seems that Fonda is a bit full of herself to think that anyone actually wants to date her. So, Jane Fonda may not have to worry about having a sexual relationship.

After a lifetime of controversy and anti-American activism, it’s not immediately apparent who’d want to date her at this point.
