Sharon Osbourne Still On The Outs With ‘The Talk’ Cohost After Brutal, On-Air Throw Down

Last week, we reported that “The Talk” went off the rails when hosts Sharon Osbourne and Sheryl Underwood got into a heated discussion over claims that British television personality Piers Morgan is racist for criticizing Meghan Markle.

Osbourne, who is friends with Piers, defended him. She became irate when she felt that Underwood was accusing her of being racist herself.

The show has since been put on hiatus while CBS conducts an investigation into what happened.

Osbourne And Underwood Still At Odds

Now, a source has come forward to tell Page Six that Osbourne and Underwood are still at odds nearly one week after the argument took place.

“Sharon is pissed at Sheryl because she feels like she helped sow a seed that she’s racist, and [Osbourne]’s unable to rationalize that that’s not what happened,” the source said, adding that Osbourne lost it after the show and screamed, “I’m getting my lawyers!”

While Osbourne did not mention Underwood in her lengthy apology to the black community, a source close to her said that she did reach out to her cohost.

“She texted her a very detailed, emotional and heartfelt apology on Friday. It was very personal and Sheryl did not get back to her,” this insider said.

Osbourne Allegedly Was Not Blindsided

Osbourne claimed to Variety afterwards that CBS had blindsided her with this segment about Piers Morgan. However, a third source claimed that it was Osbourne who wanted to talk about Morgan on the show.

“Whenever Sharon is in the news, she always goes to the producers and wants to address it on the show,” the source said. “She was aggressive about supporting Piers on social media and got dragged for it.”

“She came to work after being labeled racist on Twitter and asked to address what was going on online,” the insider added. “She [was not] blindsided by CBS.”

Osbourne had planned to discuss Morgan’s situation in a monologue. But, producers decided around “30-35 minutes” before going live that they wanted a panel discussion among the hosts instead.

“Everyone knew there was going to be a discussion,” the source said. “Sharon was already hyper-emotional, and she was expecting cover from Sheryl, and then she felt attacked. She blames Sheryl. In the post-show meeting, she screamed, ‘I’m getting my lawyers!’”

“Sharon expected maybe two questions, not a 20-minute segment on it,” added the source that is close to Osbourne. “It broke precedent, and to make matters worse, [the ladies] had a come-to-Jesus moment a few weeks ago, vowing to have each other’s backs. For her to get attacked the way she did, felt very painful.”

This Has Gone Way Too Far

It’s absolutely insane that Osbourne may be the latest victim of cancel culture simply because she defended a friend from unfounded claims that he is racist.

This just goes to show that cancel culture has gone way too far. If we don’t put a stop to it soon, there’s no telling what will next be dubbed a cancellable offense.

James Conrad

James Conrad’s passion for politics is only overshadowed by his longstanding interest in Hollywood. His unique perspective as a gay conservative fuels him to challenge celebrity views and those who think they have a right to tell anyone how to think or vote. James proudly wields his minority point of view to combat identity politics and cut through his typecast. Fun fact: James’ guilty pleasure is the British royal family.
